To be considered for the scholarship the applicant must meet the following application requirements:
• Have been diagnosed with a learning disability. A learning disability is a disorder that may
affect the acquisition, organization, retention, understanding or use of verbal or nonverbal
information. Learning disabilities affect learning in individuals who otherwise demonstrate at
least average abilities essential for thinking and/or reasoning. Learning disabilities are
commonly called, dyslexia, dysgraphia/written expression, and dyscalculia.
