DESCRIPTION:DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MARCH 22\, 2024 \nHockey New Brunswick Scholarships\nHNB Scholarship applications will be considered for all the HNB scholarships\, provided the applicant\nmeets the criteria listed below. *Only one complete application per candidate is required\nCriteria to apply for an HNB Scholarship:\n• Applicant must have been a Hockey New Brunswick member or associate member in the 2023-2024\nhockey season (HNB player\, NBIAA player or HNB Official).\n• Applicant must be under the age of 21 as of December 31st of the current season.\n• Applicant must be graduating or must be a graduate who is pursuing post-secondary studies in 2024-\n2025.\nApplication Requirements:\n• Application must have all the following requirements to be considered:\no Provide a record of their current academic transcript for high school (Grades 10-12 inclusive) or\nUniversity.\no Provide post-secondary education acceptance letter.\no Provide an athletic resumé (brief outline sports involvement by year).\no Provide letter of recommendation (maximum 200 words) from a former coach or HNB official:\n▪ the reasons why they have supported the candidate.\n▪ how they know the candidate\, and for how long.\no Provide a photo (of your choice).\no Provide a 300 to 500-word essay (double-spaced) outlining the following:\n▪ Intended Academic Major(s) / Area of study.\n▪ Explain how hockey has impacted their life.\n▪ Community activities outside of sport (volunteer\, community or public service activities +\n# of hours volunteered.\n▪ Employment history (paid jobs\, internships\, practicums).\n▪ Awards or honors received.\n▪ Financial need \n  \nScholarships_ENG_-_2024.pdf (hnb.ca)
