SUMMARY:BGC Riverview annual bursary
DESCRIPTION:Deadline for submissions is May 8th \, 2024 \nOutline & Requirements:\n1. One bursary in the amount of $1000.00 will be offered.\n2. All applicants must be entering a post-secondary educational course\, in a program of their choice. (The monies will be issued in the student’s name to the post-secondary institution of their choice)\n3. The students must have contributed or been involved with Club for a minimum of 50 hours in their lifetime. Some examples are\, but not limited to:\n Have attended our After School program as a student\n Registered in any of our summer programs\n Been a registered member of our Drop-in program\n Been a registered member of our Raise the Grade program\n Volunteered to assist in any of our programs (Homework\, Drop-In\, Summer Camp)\n4. Submit a 500 word essay clearly outlining your community involvement\, your involvement with BGC Riverview on how it has impacted your life\, why you have chosen the program you will be attending in the Fall of 2023 and why you would be deserving of this bursary. Please include the following documents with your essay:\n An information sheet including your name\, address\, school\, post secondary school of\nchoice and program of study\, primary and secondary phone numbers\, email address\n A personal resume outlining work\, education\, training and volunteerism\n A copy of the applicant’s Grade 12 first semester report or the applicant’s latest\nacademic report must be attached.\n Include 2 letters of reference (ie: teacher\, coach\, employer\, etc.)\n5. Applications are held in strict confidence. \n 2024 bursary application criteria (2)
