SUMMARY:MADD Canada Youth Bursary Fund
DESCRIPTION:Value: $10000\n\nDeadline: May 31\, 2024\n\n\nMADD Canada has restructured our bursary program to have more meaningful impact on students’ lives.  Beginning in 2016\, one(1) bursary of $10\,000 will be awarded to the applicant with the highest score in honour of Louise Joanne Twerdy (see further details below).  Additional bursaries in the amount of $5\,000 will also be available.\n\nMADD Canada’s Bursary Program is open to Canadian citizens who have themselves been severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash and who are enrolled in a full-time\, ministry-approved\, post-secondary educational program. Injuries must be catastrophic or severe and have had a significant impact on the applicants’ lives. Proof of injury and relation to impaired driving will be required.

DESCRIPTION:GMHA Tourism Scholarship – 2024 – Destination Moncton Dieppe\nDEADLINE\n\n\nApplications must be received by GMHA Scholarship Selection Committee post-dated no later than May 31\, 2024 @4:00pm. \n\n\nThe Greater Moncton Hotel Association (GMHA\,) established in 2009\, thrives to grow\, educate and employee local residences in the hospitality and tourism sector. This year\, GMHA has decided to develop a scholarship program to assist students that wish to pursue an education and career in hospitality and tourism. GMHA recognizes the importance of education and training of our future industry leaders and has therefore created this scholarship program to assist deserving students with their college education. \n\n\n\n\n\nAWARD\n\n\nThe Greater Moncton Hotel Association Hospitality and Tourism Scholarship enables students to pursue a secondary education leading to excellence within the\nTourism Industry. SUMMARY:THE LEONARD FOUNDATION Scholarship
DESCRIPTION:Deadline: May 31\, 2024 \n1. Colonel Reuben Wells Leonard wanted this financial assistance to go to individuals who\, without it\, would not be able to obtain a degree. For that reason\, a true financial need must be demonstrated. Those still living with their families and whose gross total annual income\, including “in kind” benefits* exceeds $60\,000.00 are not likely to be accepted. Those applicants who have permanently resided outside of the family home for an extended period will be required to supply detailed financial information. It is recognized that some of this information is somewhat personal; however\, to fulfill the requirements of the donor\, it is required. If you do not wish to divulge this information\, the General Committee will not be able to make a reasoned decision. \n2. The Leonard Foundation scholarships are awarded to students enrolled or enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree program in a College or University in Canada. The institutions must be open to all without restriction except for an academic standard. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. \n3.  Students must be enrolled in their first undergraduate program as a full-time student.  A student is considered to be full-time if when enrolled for a program’s full year credit.  Only students pursuing a post graduate degree in Education or Divinity are eligible for continuing support. \n4. All applicants will be considered\, but when necessary\, preference may be given to children of ordained clergy\, licensed elementary or secondary school teachers\, Canadian military personnel\, graduates of a Canadian Military College\, members of the Engineering Institute of Canada and members of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Canada. Preference is also given to those who have previously received an award from The Leonard Foundation. \n5. Successful applicants are expected to obtain employment during free time to help defray the costs of their education. In addition\, they must participate regularly in athletic\, fitness or military activities.
