DESCRIPTION:Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada’s most coveted undergraduate STEM scholarships. One hundred are awarded to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a Science\, Technology\, Engineering or Math program at 20 partner universities across Canada. Half are valued at $120\,000 for engineering scholarships and half are valued at $100\,000* for science and math scholarships. Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply for the scholarship. \nSince 2012\, Schulich Leader Scholarships have been rewarding and advancing the best and brightest Canadian and Israeli undergraduates studying Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Math. DESCRIPTION:NSCAD’s Extended Studies has bursaries available for students who are interested in applying to art school but need assistance creating their admissions package. \nNSCAD University’s Teen Arts Studio Bursary Program was created in 1983 through the endowed gift of Alexander J. MacDonald. The Bursary Program is designed to engage highly motivated young artists in grades 9-12\, experiencing financial challenges or living in low-income environments\, who are keen to explore the visual arts but are unlikely to enroll due to registration costs. Selected applicants will receive full tuition towards the online Portfolio Review course.The application form is to be completed by School Guidance Counselor or Art TeacherPortfolio Review Online Course DescriptionThe Portfolio Review course is designed for students interested in applying to post-secondary education and who would like support in consolidating their work into a portfolio format. Participants will be guided by NSCAD University faculty\, Anna Sprague and Louis-Charles Dionne. Topics covered include how to document and select work shown in a portfolio\, the importance of a sketchbook\, and how to prepare a letter of intent. Each module includes instructor presentations or demonstrations as well as resources for additional reading. To help you build a strong portfolio\, instructors will facilitate group Q/A sessions as well as provide individualized critique and feedback.This class is an online class. DESCRIPTION:The deadline for applications will be March 1\, 2024 and notification of the winners will be made in June. \nIWK_research_scholarship_poster_print \nIWK_research_scholarship_application_2024 \nIWK Research & Innovation Advancement (RIA) is proud to offer The Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship to Maritime students. We are asking that you distribute this information to students graduating in the spring of 2024 and planning on pursuing a post-secondary education. \nThe Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship was created in 2015 for the purpose of fostering awareness in health research at the IWK and to recognize outstanding grade 12 students within the Maritimes who have demonstrated an early interest in health-related research and/or innovation. \nTo be considered for The Future Health Research and Innovation Scholarship\, grade 12 students must intend on continuing their education at a Maritime post-secondary institution (college or university) in a field that will enhance health research or innovation.  The student must include a cover letter\, essay\, letters of recommendation\, and transcripts. The cover letter should explain why they are interested in a particular area of health research and/or innovation and how their post-secondary education will help them pursue their research goals. The essay must be written using scientific evidence to explain the specific area of health research and/or innovation they would like to pursue and how their research and/or innovation could potentially contribute to the health and well-being of children\, women and families in the Maritimes. The student must provide one Academic Reference (e.g.  a teacher who can speak to their marks and school performance) and one Character Reference (e.g.\, a coach or boss who can speak to sportsmanship or work ethic). Lastly the student must provide their Grades 11 and 12 (in progress) transcripts\, and have a minimum average of 75%. \nA maximum of three non-renewable scholarships of $2\,500 will be awarded\, one in each Maritime province.
